A little about me: I'm a working makeup artist in the Bay Area, California with almost 20 years of experience. I lived in New York for years, and was lucky enough to work on some incredible published projects, many seasons of NYFW, and celebrity events -- learning from and working under incredible artists like Val Garland, Charlotte Tilburry, and Tom Pecheux.

A few years ago I left New York to come home to California and marry the love of my life, now I stay home with our 2 year old son and work with clients on the weekends. In an effort to keep pushing myself creatively, I started doing makeup for Instagram, and it been a wild ride so far! Last year my artist series went viral, and from there I have met and befriended so many incredible artists in the online community!

Currently I work as a hair and makeup designer for a great many theaters around the Bay Area, providing wigs, designs, classes and support to all kinds of working performers.

As an artist my career has had a lot of lives, and thus I think I have a very unique perspective on makeup and the many ways it can create confidence and stir creativity. I started my Instagram as a way to explore different techniques and stretch my creative muscles, but there's not really call for an in-depth description of what inspired each look there, and so the blog was born.

I hope to provide useful info on products, my take on how to recreate trends on your own face, thoughts on how to be your own best artist. There are a lot of different makeup artists and makeup blogs out there, and I hope my point of difference will be the exploration of bravery and creativity in beauty.

Never be afraid to just be you, blue glitter lipstick and all.
